Cuban Style Sandwich

Make your own great Cuban sandwich at home. Pickles and a mustard-mayo mix give this ham and cheese combo an authentic Cuban flavor.


4 teaspoons prepared mustard

2 teaspoons light mayonnaise

4 slices Sara Lee® Honey Ham

2 slices Sara Lee® Honey Wheat Bread

2 slices Swiss cheese

2 slices American Cheese

10 to 12 dill pickle slices


Combine mustard and mayonnaise in a small bowl.  Spread on bread slices.

Place two slices ham on one slice of bread. Top with Swiss cheese, remaining two slices ham, American cheese, pickle slices, and remaining bread slice.

Place sandwich on hot grill or skillet.  Press down on sandwich with a spatula while toasting and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, or until cheeses are melted and sandwich is hot, turning sandwich over once.
